I love making cute holiday-themed lunches and treats for my daycare hooligans! Here’s a really cute kids’ lunch idea for Valentine’s Day: Heart shaped French Toast with cinnamon sugar. I’ve added a few cute heart-shaped sides to this lunch as well.
It’s always fun to serve food with a them on Valentines Day. I usually aim for as much red or pink food a I can, and of course, anything heart shaped is great too!

Ingredients
- 12-16 Slices Martin's Old-Fashioned Real Butter Bread
- 3 Large Eggs
- 2/3 Cup Milk
- 4-8 Tablespoons Butter
- 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 Pinch of Salt
- 1 Pinch of Nutmeg (optional)
Directions
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg until well combined.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat with 1-2 tablespoons butter.
- Using a heart-shaped cookie cutter or a knife, cut a heart out of each piece of bread.
- Dip each piece of heart-shaped bread into the egg/milk mixture, being sure to coat both sides.
- Cook the bread (as many slices as will fit in the pan) for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden.
- Transfer to a plate and repeat with remaining bread slices, adding more butter to the pan as necessary.
