Pear, Parmesan and Honey Crostini

Image
Looking for a quick appetizer? These Pear, Parmesan and Honey Crostini can be made in just 20 minutes and are a uniquely-flavored vegetarian snack option. Not only is it really simple (yay), but it combines ingredients that you may not otherwise think to pair together. Essentially you cut the bread, place cheese atop of bread and into the oven. While the cheese is melting, cut up pear and crush walnuts, remove the bread from the oven, sprinkle on the toppings and BOOM DONE. Easy peasy snack or appetizer. So go ahead and bring it to your holiday party, or don’t. If it were me, I would make it and then eat it all myself. And by “I would”, I mean that I already did that. Enjoy! MINI CAPRESE CUPS

Image
Fresh, summery caprese salad stuffed into a mini phyllo cup and drizzled with balsamic glaze! An easy to make one bite appetizer! Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a great weekend and hopefully many of you have a short work week as well.  My weekend was filled with running, biking, pulling weeds, and working in my vegetable garden. Let’s talk about weeds for a minute. Why are they necessary other than to bug the crap out of you? Our side yard is the forgotten area on our property and it’s here that the weeds like to grow and spread like the plague. Mini Caprese Cups INGREDIENTS 15 mini phyllo cups 8 cherry or grape tomatoes, halved lengthwise 8 mini fresh mozzarella balls, halved 15 small basil leaves Balsamic glaze for drizzling, (I used the balsamic glaze recipe drizzled on this pizza) Kosher salt and fresh cracked black pepper for sprinkling on top Get Ingredients Powered by Chicory INSTRUCTIONS Arrange half of a cherry tomato, half of a mini mozzarella

Onion Tomato Bruschetta with Balsamic Glaze

Image
The balsamic glaze adds a lot flavor to this Onion Tomato Bruschetta. This is an easy to make appetizer when you are running short of time! I always struggle to create quick and easy appetizers. Actually I don’t struggle but whenever I think of snack and appetizers, I think of Indian appetizers which I grew up eating and I have to say most of them are deep fried! We make all sorts of things like aloo tikki, samosa etc. and deep fry everything. So yes everything is delicious but not healthy and also needs some prep work. When I am running short of time and have friends/family coming over, bruschetta more often than not comes to my rescue! Isn’t it the easiest appetizer to make?
